Conjoint analysis is used to help determine how people value different attributes (feature, function, benefits) that make up an individual product or service. This choice activity is thought to simulate an actual buying situation, thereby mimicking actual shopping behavior. The objective of conjoint analysis is to determine what combination of a limited number of attributes is most influential on respondent choice or decision making. A controlled set of potential products or services is shown to survey respondents and by analyzing how they make choices among these products, the implicit valuation of the individual elements making up the product or service can be determined. These implicit valuations (utilities or part-worths), can be used to create market models that estimate market share, revenue and even profitability of new designs.

NOTE – The following are known limitations/issues with this feature.
  • Conjoint Analysis may be long running and timeout with large data sets. Submit a support ticket to have us download your results.
  • Can not build additional conjoint design profiles on a test after it has been Launched. For example: Increasing the number of participants or adding the conjoint to a new event/design block will result in errors on survey start once the original design profiles are all used/assigned.
