A 3AFC Test can be used in many cases. Some clients use this to minimize the number of codes required in a triangle test. For all discrimination tests, two samples at a time are used.
- When creating a new 3AFC test, select the following settings for the questionnaire:
- Questionnaire Type: Discrimination
- Discrimination Test Type: nAFC
- Total Number of Stimuli: 3
- Sample Entry Mode: Confirm (recommended)
- Select Two Samples (at a time) and Click Add. The samples will appear on the right hand-side under Servings.
- Click Submit
- Click Add Questions
- Update the text as desired.
- Typical verbiage includes the following: "In front of you are three coded samples, two are the same and one is different. Starting from the left evaluate the samples and select the code that is different from the other two. You may retaste as often as you wish. You must make a choice."
