Participant answers by clicking on a target. A response at the center of the target is a bullseye. The further out from the center, the lower the response value or rating.


The bullseye question is compatible with desktops, tablets and mobile touchscreen devises.



To add a bullseye question:

  1. Create a questionnaire and click on [ADD QUESTIONS].


  2. Select the Bullseye question from the Basic Library, Specialty Questions folder and click on the [+] to add it to your questionnaire.



  3. Click on the Bullseye question to open the configuration window. Customize the question text, as desired


    Under the OPTIONS tab to the right, configure the target and specify the options to enable:
    • Width – The width in pixels the target displays.
    • Target Colors – The hex color code for each ring on the target display. The number of rings are determined by the number of hex color codes listed. Add, remove or change the hex color codes, as desired.
    • Dart Color – The color of the response dart mark on the target. The default is white.
    • Start Value – The answer value for the outer most edge of the outside ring of the target.
    • End Value – The answer value for the center of the target, also referred to as the bullseye.
    • Step Value – Set the format that the response value is recorded at (i.e. “1” would record as a whole number, “.1” would record to the tenths decimal place, etc.).
    • Show Answer Value – Show the numeric answer value of the response dart mark on the target.
    • Show Legend – Show the numeric value on each ring on the target display.


    Additional options for Multiple Samples With Samples questionnaires: 


    NOTE – It is not possible to rate multiple samples on a target by using a Multiple Sample After Samples questionnaires. Instead, use a Multiple Samples With Samples questionnaire and enable the Zipper Merged option.



  4. Click on [PREVIEW] to review an example of how the question appears for participants.

    • Click on the target, a dart mark is left indicating a response.
    • If Show Answer Value is enabled, the answer value displays above the response dart mark.
    • Click on the target again to change/move the response dart mark.
    • Click directly on the the response dart mark to clear/remove the response.
    • A response at the center of the target is a bullseye. The further out from the center, the lower the response value.

    Alternatively, if the Zipper Merged option is enabled:

    • The Now Rating:  [####] area below the target indicates the sample code that is currently being rated. 
    • Click on the target, a dart mark is left indicating a response.
    • When the sample is rated the sample code automatically displays above the response dart mark on the target.
    • If Show Answer Value is enabled, the answer value displays to the right of the sample code.
    • If Use Sample Colors is selected the response dart mark for each sample's rating displays using the sample's assigned color.
    • Click directly on the response dart mark to clear/remove the response for a sample, then click again on the target to indicate a new response.
    • Click [RESET] to clear/remove all responses for all samples and start over.
    • A response at the center of the target is a bullseye. The further out from the center, the lower the response value.


  5. Continue adding any additional questions to the questionnaire. When complete, click on [SAVE].


  6. Click on the X to close the window, then click on NEXT to continue with the Test Wizard to Create and Approve a Design then Preview and Launch Test to collect data.
