RedJade

Once the locations and testing rooms are set up in the RedJade®Suite an administrator can add stations. Stations are registered and assigned to rooms within a location.

Stations are added using a unique activation code generated by RedJade and assigned to a specific room and location. The activation code for a room and location never changes. When adding stations it's best to name them in sequential order to assist in serving. For example, Booth 01, Booth 02, Booth 03, etc.

Safari on an iOS device allows a website to be set as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on the home screen. When placed on the home screen, the activation is stored as a Web App separate from the browser cookies and site data. Similar options are available for Chrome on an Android device. Although the steps and screenshots below are specific to Apple iOS, the steps for Android devices are quite similar.

To set up a station as a web app:

1. From the ADMIN section, select LOCATIONS from the left navigation pane. You can also go to LOCATIONS from the COLLECTION menu.
   
   

   NOTE – Only Company Administrators and Field Site Managers can manage Locations.

   
   
   
   

2. Click on [EDIT] of the location to activate the station under. Alternatively, click the Rooms # to directly open to the location's Rooms tab.

3. From the ROOMS tab select a Testing Room, then click on [GET ACTIVATION CODE].
   
   
   
   The activation code displays. Each station needs to be activated using the code.
   
   
   
   

4. From Safari on your iOS Device, go to https://app.redjade.net/surveys.
   
   

   NOTE – If your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO), replace "app" in the url above with your company's SSO subdomain name. For example: https://<yoursubdomain>.redjade.net/surveys

   
   
   
   

5. Click the "share" icon (box with up-arrow) at the bottom of the screen and click "Add to Home Screen".
   
   

   
   

   
   
   

6. Enter a name for the home screen icon then click Add. We recommend naming the the home screen icon the same as the Station Name will be in step 10 for reference.
   
   

   
   
   

7. A new RedJade icon for the station is added to the home screen, like a normal iOS app.
   
   
   
   

8. Click the RedJade icon from the home screen, enter the Activation Code for the Location/Room, then click [REGISTER].
   
   
   
   
9. Complete the Station Name field, then click on [Activate this station].
   
   
   
   
10. The station is activated. Click on [Finished].
    
    
    
    
11. The page will re-load with "No Event Scheduled". 
    
    

    
    
    

12. Complete Steps 4-11 for each iOS device.
    
    
    

13. To delete the icon from the home screen, you can simply touch and hold the icon and choose "Delete Bookmark" or press the little “–” next to the icon, much like you would delete any normal iOS app. This also deletes the underlying cookie for station in app mode.
