Concept Testing may be used to determine which concept(s) are best-liked or have the highest purchase interest among consumers. The following example illustrates how to conduct stat testing across four concepts.
See the following sections:
Questionnaire
For this four concept project, we create a Single Sample Questionnaire. This will allow us to stat-test across the concepts.
NOTE – The Single Samples questionnaire allows us to stat test across the concepts. |
- Ensure that you have a sample setup for each concept. Here we have four concepts.
- Create a Single Sample(s) questionnaire. Set the Sample Entry mode. We use SKIP in this case as it allows the individual to go from Concept to Concept without validating the code.
- Select the concepts (samples) to tie them to the questionnaire.
- Click Add Questions to program your questionnaire.
- From the Basic Library, Select Page Elements and Media.
- Click Add Media.
- Click Logic. Set Trigger Type to Sample and Condition to Includes Any of These and select the Corresponding Concept (sample).
- Repeat Steps 5-7 for each Concept (sample). Here it is setup for each of the four concepts.
- Add any questions you would like to ask about each concept. Here we added purchase intent.
Design Block
The design block allows us to control the overall order of the concepts (samples) displayed.
SEE ALSO – Work with the Design Block. |
- RedJade will build a Williams Square design by default (each product in each fixed and relative position an equal number of times). Here, we would like to have the products evaluated in this design order to minimize serving order bias. The blinding codes are not used as we set the questionnaire to SKIP in Questionnaire Step 2 above.
Analyses
Analyses will display the results in separate columns for each concept. Here, we run Cochran's Q on the percentages across the concepts.
