Manage & Prioritize Event Tags

Tags can be created and assigned to locations. When those tags are added to an event, they prioritize the order in which multiple events are presented to participants.

NOTE – Event Selection must be set to Participants Select Multiple Events to Prioritize Event Tags. See Allow Participants to Select Multiple Events.

Manage Tags

Create and configure tags used to prioritize multiple events.

To create or manage tags:

  1. Select the DELIVERY tab. Click on MANAGE TAGS.

  2. Click on +CREATE TAG.

  3. Enter the Tag Category name, Tag Name, and select the Tag Background Color.

NOTE – We recommend naming the Tag Category "Priority" and the Tag Name refer to each order of priority (i.e. "1, 2, 3", or "Low, Medium, High", or "First, Middle, Last", etc.).

  4. Click on [CREATE TAG].

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to create additional tags.

  6. Click [BACK] to return to the Location edit page.

Prioritize Event Tags

Set the priority for each tag added to a location. The tests that participants select are then delivered in order based on the priority of the tag added to each event.

To prioritize event tags:

  1. Click on the Add a tag... field and select a tag.

  2. The priority assignment displays in the icon on the the left side of the tag. The tags are assigned the next consecutive priority value, based on the order they are added.

In the example below there are three (3) tags added, with the priority 1, 2 and 3 set accordingly.

  3. Click on [...] of each tag to Edit the assigned priority, as desired.

  4. Click on [SUBMIT] to save the Location edits.

Tag an Event

To add a tag to an event:

  1. Create an Onsite Test, as normal.

SEE ALSO – Create an Onsite Test for additional details.

  2. From an existing Onsite Test, select the tab for the event you want to tag, then select the Participants tile.

  3. From the Participant step, under the Categorize your event section, click on ADD / REMOVE TAGS.

  4. Select an existing "Priority" tag.

  5. Click [CLOSE].

  6. The tag is added to the event.

In the example below the "Priority 1" tag was added and the test will always be presented first to the participant, when selected.

Schedule Overlapping Reservations

When scheduling simultaneous tests at the same time within a room, they must all use the same check-in type. If differing check-in types are used, the station will only have tests of the same check-in type in the following priority: 1. Assisted Check-In, 2. Self Check-In, 3. No Check-In.

To schedule multiple tests at the same time:

  1. Create an Onsite Test, as normal.

SEE ALSO – Create an Onsite Test and Schedule an Onsite Test for additional details.

  2. From an existing Onsite Test, select the tab for the event you want to schedule, then select the Days tile to open the schedule.

  3. From the Schedule step, click on the day for which you wish to schedule the test.

In the example below there are already existing reservations scheduled for January 31st.

  4. In the Create Reservation window, select the Rooms from the drop-down list and specify the start time and end time for the reservation.

If the start time and end time specified is the same as another test in the same room, a Reservation Overlaps message displays at top of reservation window to indicate which tests are also scheduled during that time.

  5. Click on [SUBMIT].

NOTE – If Simultaneous Events is not enabled for the location, a Reservation Conflict error will display and the reservation will not submit.

The reservation is added to the calendar.

Hover your cursor over the reservation to see details or click to open and view, edit or delete the reservation.

Select Multiple Tests to Take

The event select screen displays for No Check-In or Self Check-In events.

For Assisted Check-In, event selection takes place when the participants are checked in. See Check In Participants for further details. Only the tests that the participant was checked in for will be delivered to them at the station.

To select which tests to participate in:

  1. From a registered survey station, open the browser and go to https://surveys.redjade.net/.

SEE ALSO – Setup a Station in a Browser for further details on registering and managing survey stations.

  2. If the scheduled tests are using No Check-In, the Event Select screen displays by default (skip to step 3).

Otherwise, for Self Check-In, the Station Sign-In screen displays first. Participants enter their email or subject code from recruiting profile (the default sign-in strategy).

SEE ALSO – Participant Sign-In Strategies for further details on configuring additional sign-in strategies.

    Click [Sign In] to continue.

  3. When multiple tests are currently scheduled, the Select Multiple Events screen displays.

NOTE – If only one test is currently scheduled, the Event Select screen is skipped and the Participant Start screen for the scheduled test displays.

The default event name format that displays on the Event Select screen is "Project Name: Test Name (PID: #####)". Alternatively, if a Consumer Visible Name is entered for the test, that will display instead. You can enter the Consumer Visible Name when creating the test or by editing the test. See Edit Test Type, Name, or Consumer Visible Name for further details.

  4. Click the button of each test to participate in.

The selected test's buttons display green.

  5. Click on [Begin].

  6. Enter a Participant Number then click on [Begin] to sign in and take the first test, as normal.

  7. Optionally, click on [<-Select tests] to return to the test selection screen.

The tests that were previously selected display green and the selections can be modified.

Any tests that have already been completed display grey with a check to the right and the selections can not be modified.

  8. The selected tests are delivered in order based on the priority of the tag added to each event. When a tag with the same priority is added to more than one event, those tests are randomized across all participants. When no priority tag is added to an event, the test defaults to lowest priority.

  9. When all servings for a test are complete the Participant Start screen for the next test in the selected set will automatically display,

NOTE – The previous test's Participant End screen will display between tests. Set the Survey Restart Delay time to 0 seconds to automatically skip the Participant End screen between tests. See Edit Test Instructions for further details.

  10. Once all the selected tests are completed, the End of Multiple Events screen displays. When the Restart Delay time is reached, the page auto-reloads and returns to the Select Multiple Events screen.

NOTE – If a test falls out of schedule, the Select Multiple Events screen automatically updates with a list of currently scheduled tests. If only one test is currently scheduled, the page will reload to the Participant Start screen for the scheduled test. If no tests are scheduled, the No Event Scheduled screen displays.

Serving Console

The Serving Console can be viewed in two modes, Ungrouped and Grouped by Test. Ungrouped is the default mode.

  • Ungrouped  All station tiles display side-by-side, as they did prior to the release of the Simultaneous Testing feature. When multiple tests are taking place at the same time, the test currently signed in at the station is indicated on the station tile with a colored dot and a legend.
  • Grouped by Test  Station tiles are split into multiple sections based on the test currently signed in at the station.
