Skipping a sample allows the study coordinator to have a participant skip a serving from the Design Block. Skip is typically used in the following scenarios:
- A sample is not available during testing.
- The sample was not properly prepared.
You can skip as many servings as needed. Once a serving has been skipped it can be evaluated at any time and in any order, as desired. For multiple day designs the skipped serving can be evaluated on any subsequent day. The skipped sample appears at the top of the serving console tile, highlighted yellow to indicate it was skipped on a previous day. The raw data file will indicate the serving order value that skipped samples were actually completed in.
After a participant is done testing, if any servings remain Skipped, the booth will need to be Abandoned before a new participant can sign in to the booth. See Abandon Booth for further details.
