Categories in RedJade are added and managed by Recruiting Managers. Categories are global demographics available in the Recruiting application. Categories are created at the top level of the Recruiting application and can be assigned to Subjects. Categories can be used to filter Subjects for a Recruiting Campaign. During a Campaign, Quotas can be created using Categories then linked to a question in the screener.

To create a category:
- From the RECRUITING section, select CATEGORIES from the left navigation pane.
- Click on [CREATE].
- Enter a Name for the Demographic Category.
- Select Exclusive if the category allows a single Demographic Response (i.e. Gender - Male or Female) assigned to each subject.
Deselect Exclusive to make the category Non-Exclusive if the category allows for multiple demographic responses (i.e. Types of Beverages - Water, Milk, Soda, Coffee, Tea, Wine, Beer) assigned to each subject. - Enter a Name for the Demographic Response and click on [ADD].
- Continue to add Demographic Responses until the Demographic Category is complete.
- Click on [SUBMIT].
