The sample entry mode allows you to set defaults for sample-based questionnaires including Single Sample, Discrimination and Multiple Samples (With Samples). The options include:
- Verify (Default for existing and new companies)
- Confirm (Replaces "Skip Sample Entry Validation" option)
- Skip
NOTE – Assigned Blinding Codes are recommended when using Confirm and Skip Sample Entry Mode options. If Assigned Blinding Codes are not used, the Sample Identifier will display in place of the blinding code. |
NOTE – Copying an existing questionnaire will keep the same Sample Entry Mode as the questionnaire being copied. |
Verify forces the participant to enter a sample code to start the survey. For example, the participant enters the three-digit code of the product they are supposed to be evaluating. RedJade validates the sample code matches the code that is supposed to be served at that time. This is the most robust method from a data integrity standpoint.
Confirm asks the participant to verify that the code on the sample in front of them matches the code on their screen. The consumer clicks Confirm to continue. Blinding codes must be set to "Assigned".
NOTE – Replaces current "Skip Sample Entry Validation". |
Skip assumes that the participant has received the correct sample and simply begins the survey. For sample-based questionnaires, if you are only serving a single serving (sample, discrimination test or multiple samples at the same time) this may be a good solution. This is not recommended as a default. Blinding codes must be set to "Assigned".
NOTE – If using "Skip" with multiple samples, using #sample_code# on the questionnaire is advised. |
The default Sample Entry Mode can be modified when creating a new questionnaire by clicking the Sample Entry Mode drop-down.
