Events will have one participant group by default, but you may have multiple participant groups. Each group has a number of participants and a starting participant code. For example, you may have an "adult group" and a "children's group", with the adult group having more samples and longer or additional questionnaires.
Depending on the Location configuration, the Participant Group that a participant is assigned to will differ. If a Demographic is assigned to the participant group and the participant has a matching demographic assignment, participants are automatically assigned to that group. When a participant group or participant does not have the demographic assigned, the default behavior will be to alternate between all participant groups, weighted by the percent of rows used, to balance block row distributions evenly across all groups. Alternatively, participants can check-in through a staff member if some other custom method of distributing between participant groups is desired (e.g., by session, by choice/request, etc.).
SEE ALSO – Check In Participants for details on how to have a staff member check in participants through the check-in app. |
