The latest update to RedJade allows you to change the default blinding codes from 4-digit to 3-digit or enter codes manually and create custom blinding codes for a test. You can change the system default blinding codes for new tests. This update all also allows you to add sample details for a project.

See the following:

Change System Default Blinding Code Groups

Previously, blinding codes were 4-digits. With this update, you can specify the default blinding codes in the ADMIN section as 3-digit, 4-digit or enter codes manually. Upon changing the default blinding codes, the previous ones are archived. Any projects using the archived codes are not affected, but if additional samples are added to a previously created project, the new set of codes are used.

Also in the Blinding Codes section you can change or delete codes, change the name of the blinding code bucket or create a custom list of codes.

NOTE – You must be set up as a company administrator in RedJade to change, edit or create custom blinding codes.

In addition, you can edit the blinding codes from a test. When you export blinding codes, the assigned blinding codes display in a spreadsheet format.

NOTE – Anyone with access to projects can create or edit the assigned blinding codes. You do not need to be a company administrator.

  2. In the Design Block step, check Use Assigned Blinding Codes at the top of the form.

NOTE – Codes are displayed as 3-digit or 4-digit based on your company's settings. Codes are pulled from all available 3-digit or 4-digit codes, not from a specific bucket. To change the company's default setting, go to Blinding Codes in the ADMIN section. See Change Blinding Codes From 4-Digit to 3-Digit above.

NOTE – When importing designs in the "Assigned" mode, use only the sample identifier defined in the sample list (1, 2, 3...). The blinding codes automatically populate once the design block is imported.
